COVID-19: How we plan to stay safe

Throughout this difficult period, Sign for Thoughts have worked hard to ensure we can re-open in September in a safe and comfortable way for all our teachers and students.

Policies and Procedures

For all of our courses, students must enrol with their email and phone number. This means we can utilise a 'Track and Trace' should we be required to. We will be following the government guidance at all times, and should a student contact us to say they've contracted COVID-19, we will contact the relevant students and authorities to ensure all measures have been followed.
Sign for Thoughts have a COVID-19 policy and risk assessment in place, which all students will read prior to starting a SFT class. If you are thinking about enrolling and would like to read the policy, please contact us.

Cleaning and Hygiene

All equipment, surfaces and the toilet will be cleaned before and after every class. We have created check lists for all rooms in the training centre to ensure nothing is missed. There will be a team of cleaners coming in weekly to deep clean the centre.
Students and teachers are required to use hand sanitiser upon arrival and when leaving. There is also hand sanitiser and disposable gloves available for when using the toilet.

Space and Ventilation

Our centre has been re-arranged to allow for social distancing between students. We also have large french doors and skylights that can be used in any weather for ventilation.

What if things change?

SFT are keeping a close eye on the government guidelines, and will react accordingly should anything change. If we are required to stop face to face classes, all classes will move on to Zoom. This was used throughout the lockdown and we are confident we can deliver classes in this way.
