Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Sign Language Interpreting Part 1
The course:
Sign for Thoughts is excited to offer a high quality teaching and coaching course as PART 1 of the Level 6 Sign Language Interpreting studies. Successful completion of this course will allow you to prepare and be ready to embark upon the challenging PART 2 assessment course which leads to the full Signature accreditation of Level 6 NVQ diploma in Sign Language Interpreting.
Our PART 1 course will teach you the skills that you need, in similar units to those units that you will be assessed against in the PART 2 NVQ diploma course.

Our excellent tutors, Judith Jackson and Helen Fuller will teach you the theoretical aspects of interpreting. As well as learning the key language interpreting skills, you will learn what it means to be professional and the ethics & dilemmas involved in this. Alongside the skills teaching, you will be given a large amount of practical work. We will coach and mentor you throughout the course, giving constructive feedback and real guidance so that you are able to make the most of your newly learnt skills and knowledge.
On successful completion of this PART 1 course, it is expected that students will be ready to apply to join the PART 2 (portfolio): accredited BSL Level 6 NVQ Diploma course.
Assessment Day: 23rd February 2013 10am-4pm (Time slot will be given) Assessment fee £140
The cost: £ 1950-£ 2400 depending on the number of students Payment of fees by instalments may be agreed on arrangement.
The duration: January 2013 for 11 months. Course runs on Friday & Saturday once a month start March.

Where? Our premises, Farnborough. We are now housed in our lovely, BRAND NEW, well designed Training centre, which is quiet, tranquil and has been designed and set up for optimum learning, with up-to the-minute technology to aid your training. Limited car parking is available on site.
