Penny Gunn - Director of Training
Since gaining her Diploma of Higher Education in Deaf Studies from Bristol University in 1995, Penny has dedicated herself to improving communication between Deaf, deaf/blind and hearing members of her local community.
Penny worked tirelessly to spread Deaf and deaf/blind awareness across the South East and has partnered with local organisations such as hospitals, councils, hotels, childcare facilities to name a few. She has taught BSL formally for over 20 years, and in 2007 set up Sign for Thoughts Training Centre in Farnborough to deliver BSL courses from beginners Level 1 BSL, right through to Interpreting courses.
Her passion for BSL and great communication is contagious! She provides a great support for her students as they follow their BSL journeys and she is always available on Skype for advice, 1:1 tutorials and support.
Penny is also a qualified NVQ assessor.
